Computer Basics Learn the difference between a computer motherboard and hard drive. You will learn basic Internet searching and how to use a mouse. Also learn how to turn on and shut down a computer and much more. Microsoft Word 2010 Basics Learn how to control your line spacing, insert bullets and add headers and footers to your text. You will find out how to bold and underline your text. Microsoft Excel 2010 Basics Learn how to make a simple spreadsheet and chart. Find out the basic formulas that make using spreadsheets easier. Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Basics Learn how to make a one-page flier or a multi-slide presentation. Backgrounds, fonts, colors, transitions, and animations are just a few of the topics that will be discussed. Social Media Basics. Learn the Basics of how to setup and use a Facebook and Twitter account. Learn how Social Media can impact you, your family and friends making a great way to communicate and share. E-Book Basics. We now have e-books available for checkout for many different devices, IPad, Nook, Kindle, Computer, IPhones, Smart Phones etc. Come in and see how easy it is to check out and read a book on your device. ![]() The Computer lab will be CLOSED once a Month for general updates and maintenance. ![]() Wireless Access is NOW Available throughout the Library! Due to a joint venture between Ector County and City of Odessa WI-FI access is also available is some areas of the Noel Park. So you can enjoy the scenic view and surf the web all at the same time. Headphones are NOT PROVIDED you will need to Bring your own.

Please read our Policy and the Unacceptable Use. There are 16 computers for free public access. These computers have many educational programs, Internet, Microsoft Office products and tutorials. There are also 2 computers for 15 minute Quick E-Mail checking. Due to damage and misuse headphones they are no Longer Provided. You are welcome to bring your own. Downloadable and printable instructions for using the Computer Lab and printing in the lab is available here. ![]() Print Outs are .10 cents a page. FREE Beginning basic classes are also offered every month except July and December. Classes offered are Introduction to Computers, Internet, Microsoft Word and occasional E-Mail. Classes are limited to 10 students, so please call to see what classes are being offered and to pre-register.
